GENEVIEVE, MISSOURI & QUEBEC CANADA Hi everyone, I need some expert help. I am helping my sister in law with her family research. I have her BEAUCHAMP line back to JEAN BAPTISTE BEAUCHAMP born 1770 in POINTE - AUX -TREMBLE, ISLE of MONTREAL, QUEBEC CANADA. He married BARBE LAPLANTE 1795 in STE. GENEVEIEVE, MISSOURI. His parents were JEAN BEAUCHAMP & MARIE GIBAULT. My first problem is this information is what other people have posted online and they have no sources listed. I have been unable to verify any of this info. My second problem is I would like to go farther back with the parents JEAN BEAUCHAMP & MARIE GIBAULT but cannot find anything other than the names - no dates or anything. I have been looking into the Canadian research but a lot of it is written in French. I don't speak or read French. I did manage to get a few records on the Canada Genweb translated to English, but found nothing that would help. I found lots of BEAUCHAMP'S in the same area and time in Canada, but have no idea if they are the same line I am looking for. I suspect that they are. Just can't connect the dots. Does anyone have any info or suggestions?? I do live near Ste. Gen. Missouri and I have went and checked the church records, cemeteries, libraries etc. Thanks for any & all help. Have a nice day.
