Subject: [ROOTS-L] Grandfather Thomsen

Does anyone own the CD of Germans to America? Would they do me a great favor
and check to see if a John Thomsen or it could be listed as John Thompson
came to the US in 1885. I believe he arrived in New York because he ended up in
upstate New York in a city called Troy. I think he sailed from England.
Actually he was Danish but lived in Schleswig-Holstein section of Denmark that was
under German control. So according to the 1900 census he was listed that he came
from Germany.

Please help me because I have hit a brick wall.

Thank you.

Wilma
