Subject: [ROOTS-L] Memories 'Round The Mill

   Memories ‘Round The Mill

Paul L. Odle, Sr. Family Historian Author and Story Teller announces the Publication of his tenth book “THE PAUL ODLE LEGACY.” Mr. Odle is a Yukon, Oklahoma native being born September 28, 1933 across the street from the Cotton gym on what is now known as Ash Street. In 1933 the streets did not have names.

“The Paul Odle Legacy” is a three Volume book about the ODLE/ODELL
Families from the year 1509 to 2005. This awesome book has many stories that were past down from one generation to the next. You will find lots of wills, old pictures as well as new ones, documents, births, marriages and deaths. There is a Royal Connection dated back to the year 600 and Pepin 111, Emperor of the West. There is a picture of THE ODELL CASTLE in Odell, Bedfordshire, England and there is a chart with the Royal Line. The Historic Odell Castle stood on the bank of the river Ouse, near the ancient Village of Odell in Bedfordshire, England. The original castle given by William The Conqueror to his brother-in-law Walter Flandiencis created
Baron de Wahul, the first Baron of Odell in the year 1066, the year of the conquest.

Rodney and Tammy O’Dell of Yukon, Oklahoma after reading Paul Odle’s book “No Time For Tears” made a trip to Odell, England where they took many pictures of the castle, the All Saints Church and Cemetery, The Bell Pub across from the castle and pictures inside the old church. When Rodney and Tammy returned from their trip to England they e-mailed me pictures and then came to see me here at the Lawton/ Fort Sill Veterans Center. One of the treasures they brought me was a rock from the Odell castle. These pictures are now part of my new book “The Paul Odle Legacy.” On page 162 E you will find a picture of Rodney, Tammy and Trinity O’dell. You will find pictures of a lot of Yukon and Mustang folks that are part of the Odle/Odell family.

Some of the family names that appear in the book are Clevenger, Turner, Denton, Riggs, McNeil, Merritt, Kay, Dickie, Ellis, Duncan, Dickey, Dickerson, Adams,Allen, Archer,Baily, Baker, Bales, Barber, Barnett, Bennett, Bingham, Berndt, Blevins, Blackwell, Bogart, Boyer, Brewer,Brown, Bryant, Burke, Barrett, Campbell, Clark, Combs, Cooper, Covey, Cox, Craven, Crouse, Crowley, Cunningham, Curry, Dale, Dennis,
