Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: Warnings on losing genealogy data

I have three hard drives on my computer. Drive C: has the operating system (Windows XP) and not much else. Drive D: has all my data, including everything in My Documents. Drive E: is set to mirror everything on drive D:, thus backing it up. Extra hard drives are inexpensive and not too hard to install. In addition, I back up my important files on CD & DVD. These include everything in My Documents, but especially my scheduling database and PAF. The system works great. Most computer crashes & viruses involve the operating system. That can be cured without damaging any data.
