Subject: [ROOTS-L] Net Detective -- NO!!

Hi Sue:

A couple of years ago, I tried Net Detective. Don't waste your money! There is nothing on their site that you cannot already find on the Internet. If you think that you are going to sit in your PJ's and get your grandmother's death record, you'd be wrong. Net Detective will NOT give you the death record -- you still have to send for it the old fashioned way, snail mail. It was my feeling that their site had nothing new -- only advertising that had you thinking that you would have access to all these records immediately, which is not true at all.
