That Census would tell you where he was born. If born in 1833 that would have made him 16/17 in 1850. Try to locate him in the 1850 Census especially in the state he says he was born. He would probably still be at home with his parents. That should give you his parents names and at least some of his siblings depending upon the birth order. Also try the 1880 Census. That will give you not only his place of birth but the place of birth of both of his parents. Hope this helps a little, Gretchen ORIGINAL QUESTION: From: McKorGram@aol.com Subject: IRONSIDE - WILLIAMS I am still looking for information on Peter WILLIAMS (1833 - 1912) and Ellen Matilda IRONSIDE (1851 - 1908).  I have information on Ellen's family but can't seem to find anything on Peter.  They were married October 18, 1871 in Troy Mills, Iowa.  Sometime around 1880 they moved to Wright County, Iowa.  I found Peter in the 1870 Census in Buchanan County but where was he before that?  Who were his parents?  Any siblings?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.    Rozella
