I am researching Paschal/Paschol Holt born ca 1800 in Virginia or North Carolina. He married Rachel Jones born 1803 in Virginia, marriage Dec. 9, 1822 Henry County, Va. records in Martinsville, Va. They are listed in 1830 census of Rockingham, N. C. which ajoins Henry County, Va. Migrated to Grainger County, Tn. and listed in 1840 Tn. census.. their daughter Elizabeth Holt was born there in 1840, she married Isham Lawson Jr. when she was 14 years of age..and lived in Whitley County, Ky and Knox County, Ky. 1850 census of Ky. Rachell is a widow as Paschal Holt died, he had worked in coal mines of Birdeye, Ky. children listed are Noah, born ca 1833, George born ca 1835, Wison (actually) Daniel Wilson (Willis) born ca 1837, Elizabeth born 1840, Grainger County, Tn., John born ca 1842, Jane (Mary Jane born 1843, Margaret born Dec. 2, 1845 Ky., James born ca 1847, Ky., Jo-- born 1849, Ky. Think this was Joel but deficult to read. RACHEL JONES HOLT WAS A MIDWIFE. Does anyone have information of this family and descendants.. A daugther not listed in this census was Martha Holt who married Benjamin Siler. and lived in Knox County, Ky. Belive there were other children since Pascal and Rachel Jones Holt married 1822..
